Mr Yasir Khan is a highly respected Consultant Ophthalmologist and the Medical Retina Lead at Moorfields Eye Hospital (North East Division). With a career spanning over 15 years, he has established himself as an authority in the management of complex retinal conditions and advanced ocular therapies.
After completing his comprehensive ophthalmology registrar training in the prestigious North Thames rotation, Mr Khan pursued advanced sub-specialty fellowships at two of the UK's leading eye centres: Moorfields Eye Hospital and Bristol Eye Hospital. This rigorous training equipped him with the skills to handle the most challenging cases with confidence and precision.
Beyond his clinical duties, Mr Khan is a passionate educator and leader. He serves as a lecturer for the Moorfields/UCL MSc in Retinal Imaging and supervises the training of future ophthalmologists. As the Lead for Virtual Clinics at Stratford, he pioneered innovative pathways to reduce patient waiting times, ensuring timely access to sight-saving treatments.
